Replacing Alternator Warning Lamp with LED

An LED has very low forward resistance compared to an incandescent bulb. Adding resistors to an LED will lower the current, not increase it. But ultimately, this is what you want: a sufficient load. Also, LEDs only pass current in only one direction. The lamp 'indicates' by balancing 2 voltages: 1 from the battery and 1 from the alternator. By only allowing current in 1 direction, you have to be sure the current direction is correct, or it will not illuminate(or extra circuitry to ensure it illuminates in both direction.

1. Has skepticism by and in itself led to any reasonable scientific breakthrough?

A healthy dose of scepticism should not just apply to science but to all of us. Doubt as to the truth of something aids science as well as other pursuits

2. What led to the decline of the Ottoman Empire?

Who said it really collapsed?t just removed its clothing from religion to its original core belief "protection of the state". Islam in Ottoman empire and religious millet system was just an easy way to govern a mutlicultural and diverse empire however after a series of events Ottoman forced to abandon it, started with Mahmud 2. And reached its climax as " militant laisism" under the rule of Mustafa Kemal. Ottoman Empire was not really an Islamic state but served the cause of slam because that was benefiting the both sides. The system of Ottoman and modern Turkey is just the application of Platon's idea of "Polis". Ruling class with high status and common people who needs to be governed and watch. That idea has not change in Turkey in one bit. So what really changed is the government regime, and government supported culture shifted from Muslims to seculars

5. What led to your spiritual awakening?

Sorry, I do not speak that language. But I sort of get what you are fishing for, and I do not wish to be rude, I am happy to respond in my own mother tongue if you do not mind the language barrier issues when reading the response. :)When I was young, I had some pretty powerful experiences that sent me on a quest to understand myself and life. It almost seemed like there were two worlds layered on top of each other, and two versions of "me" mixed in as well. In flashes, I would see one world and a corresponding self, and then things would go back to normal and I would see the ordinary world and my ordinary self. This started when I was a teen, and it was both intriguing and upsetting: intriguing because I could see that there were possibilities for life that could only be recognized during those flashes, and upsetting because I could not get the flash-world to stabilize... it kept disappearing and becoming flat and dull memories, which would torment me like a man who has fallen for a woman that he only sees passing in the opposite direction on the subway. He's eager to see her again, but dreads how rapidly she flies past and the angst she leaves behind. So I spent decades trying to understand the difference between these two realms, and of course the most important question was about the route between them - it's no good understanding your lover if you can not board her train, right?Early on, I began to suspect that a key part of the puzzle was to be found in the meaning of the word "myself". What does it mean to "be yourself?" Who am I? What defines me? And so forth. You could say that this was an intuition, rather than a well-formed theory of the two realities. I just had an instinct that somehow this all boils down to what I understand when the word "me" passes through town.Zip forward 40 years, and I am writing a book about the solution. A few years back, I started to recognize that my ability to board her train was becoming pretty reliable, and I realized that this clarity required me to share - in this strange puzzle, it's not enough to get the solution for yourself, the only way to solve it thoroughly is to share your solution in such a way that others get it too. When they get it, you get it. If they do not get it, you have not got it. Weird, huh? There's no such thing as "personal transformation." Transformation happens at a level that is not about me as an individual. This is one of the things that I did not understand when I was a kid having these strange flashes between worlds: the world I wanted to live in had 7 billion other people in it. There was no way to stay there without including them. I only wanted to include myself, so that world would not stabilize. But I got it now. I can ride her train every day if I like, I just can not ride it alone

How to Bring More Outside Light into a House
Dark rooms can make your home feel small and dreary, and letting some natural light in is a great way to open up the space. The easiest way to bring more outside light into your house is to clean and open up your windows so they are letting in as much light as possible. However, even if you do not have a ton of bright windows in your home, there are still things you can do to make it sunnier, like painting your walls a lighter color and using reflective decor. For particularly dark rooms, you can also use LED lights and special fixtures that replicate natural lighting.1. Are these 3 switches wired correctly? The switches appear to be wired correctly. The switch on the right appears to be an LED-compatible, triac dimmer. But you have one triac-dimmer switch for LED lights (on the right), and another switch that controls the fan plus another LED bulb? This bulb is the problem. .. or this fixture cannot be used with that particular model of LED bulb.Generally, LED dimmers are not the same as fan dimmers. You can not dim many models of LED lights with a fan dimmer unless you had LED bulb(s) that are specifically compatible with traditional or fan dimmers (now technically, fan dimmers are actually a little different than traditional dimmers, but for your issue that should not really matter). I think you need to find an LED bulb that says it is compatable with traditional dimmers for the one socket being operated by the fan switch4. how do i wire led lights in my car? i have an extra set from a 2006scion tc for my car, a mazda 626(1999).?On a car the ground is the body of the vehcile. How to power a circuit of LEDs with maximum 5vThe company, Evans Designs, makes LED lights for electric trains. They are not all that expensive, either, and come with necessary circuitry. To a first approximation, common $5:textrmmm$ LEDs should be operated with a constant current and not a constant voltage. Clearly, you know that. But given the wider dynamic range of your source voltage, a special circuit to provide a constant current would help.If you want to try doing this with just one (or two) BJT(s), you could attempt either of the following two choices at very low cost.simulate this circuit - Schematic created using CircuitLabCurrent for the LED in the left-hand side circuit comes through $R_2$, with $Q_1$ diverting (it's a shunt regulator) any extra current through its collector. $R_2=fracV_BE_1I_led$. (You can assume that $V_BE_1approx 760-800:textrmmV$ for a small signal device.) And $R_1=fracV_min-V_led-V_BE_11.5cdot I_led$, where $V_min$ is your minimum DC operating voltage and $V_led$ is, of course, your LED's operating voltage. The serious problem for this circuit is that $R_1$ will dissipate terrible amounts of power when operating at the higher voltages. Perhaps a watt, or more, as it has to drop all that extra voltage. The right hand circuit attempts to deal with that problem. In this case, $Q_3$ will be dissipating the excess power at higher voltages. But since the current is fixed (roughly) across the input voltage ranges, the power is not terrible. Perhaps $200:textrmmW$ when talking about $I_led=20:textrmmA$. But keep in mind that this goes linearly upwards with increasing LED current and linearly downward when talking about less LED current. So just be aware of that.In this right-hand circuit, $Q_3$ wo not be operated in saturation. With $V_BE_2approx 680:textrmmV$ and $V_ledle 3. 2:textrmV$, $V_CE_3$ should be enough to stay out of saturation. However, if the LED voltage is more, then it's possible that $Q_3$ might go a little into saturation. So I would recommend assuming $beta_3approx 50$ for purposes of setting $R_4$. So, $R_4=beta_3cdotfracV_min-V_BE_2-V_BE_3I_led$ to supply needed base current for $Q_3$ (plus a little, given that $beta_3$ is taken as a relatively low value.) Without $Q_2$ and $R_3$ present, there would be no current control. But with $R_3=fracV_BE_2I_led$, the voltage developed across $R_3$ will begin to turn on $Q_2$, which will shunt (sink) base current away from $Q_3$ when the LED current rises more than desired. The result of all this on the right-hand circuit is that there is not so much of a waste of power. It's better, in short, than the left-hand circuit when considering dissipation. But it costs you some complexity. Still, it's small and easy enough that you can pack it into heat-shrink tubing and be done with it. It should work fine. My recommendation, of course, is the right-hand circuit. Even with higher desired LED currents, you can probably get away with a small signal BJT. But I would recommend testing that idea, too. It's a maybe and not a for-sure. One thing I worry about here is that there is no temperature compensation at all and if $Q_3$ heats up a lot and passes that heat along to $Q_2$, then base-emitter junction voltage of $Q_2$ drops significantly and this will reduce the LED current. But I think it may be fine for $20:textrmmA$ and may be still somewhat less "ok" at somewhat higher currents.NOTE: [If you found a problem with heating in the right-hand circuit (unlikely with $I_led=15:textrmmA$), I might parallel two small signal BJTs as $Q_3$ and, if being really picky, might only connect the collectors and bases together, but not connect the emitters directly -- instead using a small series resistor in each emitter leg before connecting them together. In this picky case, I would select these two emitter resistors to drop about $200:textrmmV$, so with $I_led=15:textrmmA$ these would probably be $12-15:Omega$ resistor values.]I get my BJTs at about 3 for a penny. My resistors cost me as much, too. So that's about two cents for the right-hand circuit, plus labor, solder, shrink-wrap, and the LED of course. In short, the electronics bits are essentially free and they are not boutique parts and never will be. So it's good in that sense, as well.

Social Media companies have adopted this approach almost identically. With the advancement of the times, people's demand for energy is also increasing, and mineral resources are limited. Therefore, the development of new energy sources is imminent, and the characteristics of solar energy conservation and environmental protection have been valued and applied by all walks of life. Especially in the field of solar led street light all in one ,it has been well applied and developed. Firstly, the cost of a one-time investment in solar led street light all in one is very large, which is why many investors are discouraged. The cost of solar panels and batteries is quite high, which increases the overall value of solar led street light all in one. In fact, although the solar led street light all in one has a high input cost in the early stage, it does not consume power and maintenance-free features, and can save a small amount of overhead in the later stage. Secondly, the battery is an indispensable part of the solar led street light all in one. In the case of normal use of the street lamp, the battery life can be maintained for 6-10 years, the service life is long, and the normal light can still be guaranteed in the rainy weather, and it does not need to be like a traditional street lamp.Traditional street lamp need to check the line and it will be more worry-free to repair. Thirdly,in places where there are few people in urban suburbs, the traditional high-pressure sodium lamps have been stolen and destroyed, but they have been repeatedly banned.Solar led street light all in one also need to pay attention to the protection work. They are buried in the ground when the battery is installed, and then poured with cement, which can be used for anti-theft. Finally,in thunderstorms, traditional high-pressure sodium lamps are often eroded by rain and lightning, often caused by inability to maintain in time, and solar led street light all in one are equipped with lightning protection systems to avoid lightning strikes during thunderstorms. It can still maintain normal glow on rainy days.Solar led street light all in one have many advantages such as environmental protection, energy saving, long life and high safety, which have been trusted by people. Xin cảm ơn.A Complete Guide To Car Headlights | MicksGarageThey also have an incredibly long lifespan 30000-40000 hours which could potentially see out the entire lifetime of the car which is pretty unprecedented in itself. LEDs do not contain mercury and a push is being made to replace lead-containing solders with material devoid of any lead, keeping them in line with European directives further decreasing their environmental footprint. Their small size also enables them to be arranged into virtually any design which makes them ideal for customization fanatics. In terms of illumination, they fall in-between HID and Halogen for brightness. However, LED's like most things have their own drawbacks. Although LEDs do not produce heat like halogen headlights would they do however create a small amount of heat at the emitter when electricity passes through since this location is close to a number of sensitive cables and other electrical components this creates the possibility that other parts (assemblies and connectivity cables) become damaged. This is why LED headlights require cooling in the form of fans and heat sinks to keep from melting. However, LED cooling systems are generally positioned in the engine bay. This limits manufacturers ability to make lights for certain makes and models, this also explains why they are more expensive than other types of headlights. Something to be very wary of when buying LED kits and if the price is a consideration...A lot of the cheap LED kits use poor quality aluminium heat sinks, and these sometimes significantly shorter lifespans. Luckily LED daytime running lights and tail lights do not use heat-sinks because DRL's and rear lights/indicators are not used to see at night so less power is diverted to the running of these lights/ less power = less heat when it comes to LED's. The current running through the chips is not enough to create any sort of problem. They also have the shortest rise time (the time it takes to turn on) at 1 millisecond, this makes it over 250 times faster than Halogen making it extremely useful as a brake or indicator light. Unfortunately, at the moment LED large scale manufacturing is not cost effective as there are so many components human hands have to do the majority of the assembly. This leads to high production costs that are pushed onto the end user, so far now LED lights are going to be pricey.4 initiatives led by Danone to promote a healthier lifestyleGOING BEYOND FOOD: Through education programs, Danone promotes healthier drinking and eating habits.Nutrition can only be truly effective as part of a comprehensively healthy lifestyle. So to fulfil our vision of a healthy future we develop education and events that encourage healthier diets and adequate exercise. This starts with Danone's employees. 43 of the 44 subsidiaries we monitor give our employees access to 'health at work' program. We are also promoting healthier lifestyles outside of the company, supporting education programs in conjunction with our partners to bring health benefits to consumers, parents, patients, or caregivers. In 2014, the 44 subsidiaries in our scope have run 199 consumers programs, reaching 490 million people. Discover four of them below. 1. Danone Nations CupEvery year, Danone organizes the Danone Nations Cup, an international football tournament for 10 to 12 year-olds. Since the first edition in 2000, over 10 million children from 40 countries have taken part in the DNC. Alongside the main competition, we lead educational games and activities to share with participants the importance of hydration and healthy diet in sport performance. 2. Eat Like a ChampIn 2010, Danone launched the 'Eat Like a Champ' education program to tackle the growing issue of poor nutrition and obesity among children in the UK. A free healthy-eating educational program, aimed at primary school children aged between nine and ten, it encourages participants to explore healthier choices in a fun way with the help of inspiring ambassadors. In 2013, Eat Like A Champ ran in 1,000 UK primary classes, reaching 30,000 children. 3. Mum, Dad: I prefer water! In 2006, Danone found that only 12% of Polish children's fluid intake was plain water. With concern about obesity on the rise, we launched 'Mum, Dad: I prefer water' campaign, a comprehensive educational program targeting children, parents and teachers. Now in its third year, the program has reached 700,000 children in 6,000 educational institutions and 800,000 parents. 4. Stand By MumsIn Romania, there is a shortage of qualified doctors and midwives, so with the support of the Danone Ecosystem Fund and Early Life Nutrition Romania we worked with Red Cross Romania and the White Cross, to launch our 'Stand by Mums' project. It supports the development of a network of Perinatal Educators for mothers-to-be, helping them to make healthier choices for their own diet and that of their newbornCasinos have led the wayReally great article Scott. If their monthly active user number goes down, advertisers get nervous, they are constantly looking for growth in numbers and active users is a massive metric to convince advertisers to stick with them. Mark Zuckerberg has a net worth of $74 billion, he does not need the money, but he would hate for Facebook to fail. He would have to live with that for the rest of his life and he has a long life left, so of course he's attempting to win back users. Where Can I Buy Led Light and a Invisible PSP Camera?
Invisible camera you say!? Wow. It did not know that cameras cam in that color1. how do you dispose of an LED light bulb?Take them to the Richmond-on-Thames recycling centre in Townmead street off Mortlake street. you may recycle all varieties of unexpected issues there which incorporate refrigerators & freezers2. How do you change the LED light nonification on the mytouch 4g on tmobile? You can not change the color3. I need a design for an LED light sequencer? Need to light about 60 columns of LEDs, one column at a time.?Logic circuitry and ucontrollers are not going to be able to drive the LEDs: not enough current or voltage capability. You will have to have drivers to handle the voltage/current. Also, simple shift registers can handle the logic without having to program a ucontroller or programmed logic. I like minimalist designs, so I would start by dividing the LED's into 8 banks of 8 each, except 4 in last bank. This gives 60 LED sub-circuits, with a max of 64. The banks are driven by a high (positive) side circuit, and a low (negative) side circuit. The high side has 8 PNP (actually, I prefer P-type MOSFETs) transistors to drive the banks. So, first PNP transistor drives all 8 LED (sub-circuits) in the first bank, and other banks similarly driven, each by one transistor connected to all 8 (or 4 for the last bank) LED sub-circuits. On the low (negative) side, use 8 NPN's (or N-type MOS) transistors to drive sub-circuit selector. The first sub-circuit in each bank is tied at the bottom to the first NPN, i.e. drives all 8 LED sub-circuits. Similarly, sub-circuits 2,3,4, etc. in each bank are connected to the corresponding NPN. Basic circuit works by enabling single high side transistor and single low side transistor to select LED sub-circuit to actuate. So, 8 bit shift registers are used to drive the high side drivers and the low side drivers. The low SR shifts a single enable bit (logic one) through, while the high side SR shifts a single enable bit (logic zero) through. This polarity is reversed because PNP have reverse logic from NPN. A simple 555 timer circuit can be used to clock the low side SR; use a CMOS one for wider timing range. The ripple out from the low side SR drives the high side SR clock. Select 555 RC values to give desired pulse rate; this will automatically be uniform across all the columns. Use 10 turn pot to allow you to change timing by very small increments. Set up reset on high side SR to reset after 60 rather than 64. You need to design resets and presets to properly start and reset circuits for both low and high side. Set up the LED's in series-parallel for each sub-circuit, perhaps 4 x 10 or 5 x 8 for each column. Many folks like a resistor in series with each leg to limit current. I would try to go with 12, 15, or 24V to minimize current, but depends on ratings of transistors used and LED voltage/current requirements. Get the datasheet for your LED; I prefer to use accurate voltage supply rather than dropping resistors where LED characteristics allow it. Use an adjustable voltage regulator supplying the high side drivers to adjust voltage across the LED's precisely. Good luck! Edit: Chances are, this circuit is not available unless you can modify an LED clock circuit. Perhaps you should google something like "digital clock" or LED clock. There are some that use LED's in a 60 column configuration. They are not going to have sufficient current, but otherwise would work. If you insist on proceeding, first step is to select your LED's, as the design progresses from the drive requirements. You need an LED with a datasheet, as to safely do the series/parallel thing, you need details of the LED performance. You will need to consider how to package the circuit. For prototype circuit, proto-board is the most practical. Once the circuit is tested and finalized, if you want a permanent circuit, you can make a custom PC board. Expecting someone to design and test a complete circuit for free is not very realistic. Without some interest and expertise in electronics, this will be a difficult project. Perhaps you can find a "ham" amateur radio group in your area that can help with building/testing the circuitry.
Hotel Banquet Furniture Maintenance Knowledge
First of all, the problem of humidity. It is humid in summer, and you can often see that the wall or floor is affected by moisture. Therefore, you can keep a gap of 0.5-1 cm between the wall and the wall of hotel banquet furniture, so as to minimize the chance of moisture. If water mist appears on the surface of hotel furniture, wipe the water mist condensed on it with a soft dry cloth and keep the room ventilated. If the ventilation effect is not ideal, charcoal or desiccant can also be used to absorb the moisture in the room. Especially for leather furniture and metal parts of furniture, such as hotel sofa card seat, it must be handled immediately in case of moisture. In addition to the above heat and moisture protection measures, pay attention to the daily cleaning of furniture. Panel hotel furniture is relatively easy to clean, so we should take care of solid wood furniture and leather furniture. Solid wood home had better wax regularly, once every three months, and do a good job of cleaning before waxing. For leather sofa, wipe with damp cloth. Large pieces of condensation stains can be cleaned with foam cleaning agent. It should be noted that the pores of the leather will absorb sweat. High temperature and humidity will cause chemical reactions between the organic matter in the sweat and leather, and produce odor easily, so the cortex furniture must be rubbed.Remind you that whether it is solid wood hotel furniture, panel furniture, soft hotel furniture or leather sofa, you should try to avoid the exposure of outdoor sunlight to the whole furniture or the Bureau for a long time. It is best to place it in a place that can avoid the sunlight, or use translucent Tulle curtains to separate the direct sunlight. In this way, it not only does not affect the indoor daylighting, but also protects the indoor furniture, killing two birds with one stone. In addition, the furniture should be kept away from the heat source or air conditioning outlet, so as to avoid the damage or premature aging of the furniture caused by the huge temperature difference.
Is It Possible to Get into an Ivy League College Even If I Didn't Do Well at High School? I Was Enro
An answer for the OP in just a moment, but first a word from our sponsor:To all those in comments jumping on Thomas Cormen for his answer, let me just say, "stop it." The man teaches at Dartmouth, so he is in a position to know. Saving someone the expense of applying and the heartbreak of disappointment based on over-inflated hopes and expectations is anything but unkind.Back to our regularly scheduled program. To the OP, let me say, Cormen's answer was 99.9% correct. He did say "very unlikely." I am not sure what "did not do well" means in metrics - were you a 2.5 GPA? Then the answer would be, unless you have some amazing accomplishment or talent, you are unlikely to be considered. If you were a 4.0 student at a community college and also did something amazing, maybe, big maybe. If you scored perfect scores on the SAT and the ACT's, a better maybe, especially if you could show why poor work in school is totally in the past. Had you asked this question at the end of middle school, the answer would be different because you have had time to turn the situation around. But the past is the past and to turn it around would take "more, longer and higher."NOW, let's say you went to a community college, excelled amazingly, went to a well regarded public or private school and did amazingly well, wrote a great application, you could reasonably be considered for grad school at an Ivy League institution.I was accepted to UPenn (an Ivy), but wait-listed at Swarthmore in 1975. That gives you some idea of how competitive things were....THEN. The acceptance rate was a little higher....THEN. For most of the Ivies and schools like MIT and Stanford, the acceptance rate is in the 2% to 8% range. Roll me through the system today...I'm not sure I'd make it!Should this make you feel bad? Not at all. You have obviously overcome some difficulties and that is admirable. You obviously have a drive to learn - VERY admirable! There are a lot of fantastic schools in the U.S. besides the Ivies and the Uber Prestigious. There are many reasons to go to college, including the fact that many companies and occupations still require a degree at some level. But one of the most important things I tell my kids is, go to get an EDUCATION, including the experience kind, not just a job. A degree won't guarantee you that. Knowledge, initiative, leveraging opportunities and contacts, honing critical thinking and analysis skills - those go a long way toward success. Many say you can do that without college, and that is true. But again, what are your odds? What are your interests? What is your initiative and perseverance? My hat is off to those who choose to become electricians, plumbers and HVAC technicians. If it is work you want to do and can excel in, you can also make good money. Want to be an entrepreneur? Great, but not everyone can make the grade (no pun intended) with that. You can be a great success by being the best YOU that you can be, by giving whatever you choose to do your best effort. This is not a knock on the Ivy League. I just don't want you (or anyone else) to think that if you don't attend an Ivy League school that you are just "chopped liver." It's just not true. All the best to you and your great attitude to give what you do your best effort. If I didn't do well in high school, is it still possible to get into an Ivy League university?.• Related QuestionsWas Star Wars originally meant to promote theocracy and religious extremism?Quite the opposite actually. When you, or anyone really look at this millennial conflict between Jedi and Sith, what is it that stands out the most!? It's the extremism behavior of both Jedi and Sith. Both orders are extreme orders, while its members may be or not just as extreme. In a way Star Wars alerts us to the dangers of extreme behaviors and its consequences.Look at the Jedi. The very code that defines them is a extreme codeThere's no emotion, there's only peaceThere's no ignorance, there's only knowledgeThere's no passion, there's only serenityThere's no chaos, there's only harmonyThere's no death, there's only the ForceSo as you can see, the Jedi like the Sith have a tendency to deny things that are, only to serve their narrow view of the Force. Their intentions although "good" they don't reflect the world around them. The same goes for the Sith, and also their extremist code.Piece is a lie, there's only passionThrough passion, I gain strengthThrough strength, I gain powerThrough power, I gain victoryThrough victory, my chains are brokenThe Force shell set me freeAgain, we see another example of a narrow view of the Force. One made to serve their needs and not what is.Both orders are wrong. Not totally wrong but also not totally right. And worst still, both sides don't even see that they are the exact same thing they acuse others of being. Take for example the dialogue between Anakin and Obi-Wan, before their fight on Mustafa. When Anakin says "You're either with me or you're my enemy" Obi-Wan replies by saying "Only a Sith deals with absolutes". But Obi-Wan himself was being exactly like Anakin. When he says "My allegiance is to the Republic, to Democracy" what he's actually also saying is that anyone that opposed the Republic and the idea of democracy was also his enemy. And no matter how one slices it, that was also an extremist behavior. So if anything Star Wars warns people about extremist behavior. It shows us the signs inherent in both approachs. And also that extreme behavior is not always seen as being extreme, specially by those that follow that path. That's why SW stories have been for years focusing on the middle ground, on what many have come to call the Grey Side or Grey Code. That states...There's no good without evilAlthough evil must not be allowed to flourishThere is Passion, yet PeaceSerenity, yet EmotionChaos, yet OrderThere's no dark sideThere's no light sideThere's only the ForceA much more balanced code than that of both Jedi and Sith. As was the original Je'daii code that stated. There's no ignorance, there's knowledgeThere's no fear, there's powerI'm the heart of the ForceThe revealing flame of lightThe mystery of darknessIn balance with both chaos and orderForever in the ForceThese developments came from the fans. That saw that the extreme views of the Jedi and Sith was in many ways their own undoing.Because for a Jedi, that takes the code literally, it means that he or she will never truly explore things. He or she will become stagnant, outdated, and eventually removed. While for a Sith, that takes the code literally, it means he or she will search for power at any price. He or she, will do anything, follow any path, regardless of price or consequence, in order to achieve one's desires. And those desires will never end, because as they reach one goal, already they set their eyes on other goals. Their path becomes like a drug that eventually consumes them whole. So SW if anything is a great tale of caution. About learning to be wise even though one might possess great knowledge. About learning to exercise control although one might possess great power. And that everything as a price. Nothing comes for free. But most of all... That the Force, the universe, life and death, good and evil, aren't absolutes. And that absolute views are what lead to imbalance. Because nature itself, the universe, is always in balance. People however are not
Knowledge About Pedestrian Street,Notable Buildings and Structures of Pedestrian Street
Notable buildings and structures of pedestrian streetMost of the buildings in the street date from the late 1790s or early 1800s. The Frederik Tutein House on the corner with Strget (Badstuestrde 2 / Vimmelskaftet 47) was built for Frederik Tutein in 1801 to design by Johan Martin Quist. The rounded corner is typical of Quist's works from the period. The newspaper Kristeligt Dagblad is based in the building on the first and second floor.Mp. 8 (1797-1798), No. 10 (1798-1799), No. 12 (1799-1800), Bo. 15 (1798-1802), No. 16 (1797), No. 17 (1829-1832), No. 18 (1796-1797) and No. 20 (1796-1797) are all listed. No. 18 is decorated with Ionic order pilasters.Margrethe-Skolen, a school of fashion and design, is located on the second floor at No. 1-3.------Origins & Definition of pedestrian streetBadaud was in usage from the 16th century, if not earlier, a French adaptation of the old Provenal "badau". From the beginning the term described frivolous curiosity and ignorance. The Grand dictionnaire universel du XIXe sicle (1867) defined the term in this way: "The badaud is curious; he is astonished by everything he sees; he believes everything he hears, and he shows his contentment or his surprise by his open, gaping mouth." The term came frequently to describe the crowds that gathered in the street at any remarkable sight. From the 17th century and after, the term was associated with Parisians. It is most frequently rendered in English as "gawker" or "bystander".------Arkansas Highway 57 Bridge of pedestrian streetThe Arkansas Highway 57 Bridge is a Warren pony truss bridge in Stephens, Arkansas. It carries an old alignment of Arkansas Highway 57 over a branch of the Union Pacific Railroad near the city center. The bridge is now closed to traffic; the road on which it is located is now called Ruby Street. The bridge is distinctive in Arkansas for two reasons: first, it was the last bridge of its type on a state highway, and it has a pedestrian sidewalk on the outside of the trusses. It is unknown who built the trusses; the bridge was built in 1928.The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.------Ouaquaga Lenticular Truss Bridge of pedestrian streetOuaquaga Lenticular Truss Bridge is a historic lenticular truss bridge located at Ouaquaga in the towns of Windsor and Colesville in Broome County, New York. As part of a nationwide drive to recognise the importance of the character and individuality of Britain's high streets, and to maintain it, Norwich Lanes won the Great British High Street Awards 2014 in the "City" category.------Street reclamation of pedestrian streetStreet reclaiming is the process of converting, or otherwise returning streets to a stronger focus on non-car use walking, cycling and active street life. It is advocated by many urban planners and urban economists, of widely varying political points of view. Its primary benefits are thought to be:Decreased automobile traffic with fewer automobile accidents and less smogReduced summer temperatures due to less asphalt and more green spacesIncreased pedestrian traffic which also increases social and commercial opportunitiesIncreased gardening space for urban residentsBetter support for co-housing and infirm residents, e.g. suburban eco-villages built around former streets------Crawford Street Bridge (Providence, Rhode Island) of pedestrian streetThe Crawford Street Bridge was a concrete and steel bridge over the Providence River in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. It was originally built from 1873 to 1904 and then rebuilt starting in 1930. Composed of a set of interconnected bridges that span the river, it had a total area of over 3 acres (1.2 hectares) and covered nearly a quarter of a mile of the river. At 1,147 feet (350m) wide, it was the world's widest bridge, and listed in the 1988 Guinness Book of World Records. As part of a downtown redevelopment project, the massive bridge was substantially demolished in 1982, replaced with several narrower bridges for individual streets and exposing the Providence River to create a more pedestrian-friendly cityscape.------Buildings of pedestrian streetAt number 26 is the West Street Chapel, where John Wesley, the joint founder of Methodism, once preached. Also located in West Street are the Ambassadors Theatre and the St Martin's Theatre which has staged the production of The Mousetrap since March 1974, making it the longest continuous run of any show in the world. The London branch of L'Atelier de Jol Robuchon is located in the street. The Ivy restaurant and The Club at The Ivy are located on the corner with Litchfield Street. In the early 1950s, the Central School of Music and Dance was at No 15.------John Basilone Veterans Memorial Bridge of pedestrian streetThe John Basilone Veterans Memorial Bridge is a bridge in New Jersey that crosses the Raritan River. What Was Positive About the Crusades?
While not an area of expertise, I would say that one very positive thing about the Crusades was the historical prominence achieved by Salah ad-Din (a.k.a. "Saladin") as a "noble warrior" while leading the Muslim military campaign against the Crusaders, refusing to engage in bloody retributions even when warranted, and exhibiting values that are to be greatly admired. To briefly quote a couple of passages from Wikipedia:"In the nineteenth century, Saladin achieved a great reputation in Europe as a chivalrous knight, due to his fierce struggle against the crusaders and his generosity. Although Saladin faded into history after the Middle Ages, he appears in a sympathetic light in Gotthold Ephraim Lessing's play Nathan the Wise (1779) and in Sir Walter Scott's novel The Talisman (1825). The contemporary view of Saladin originates mainly from these texts. According to Jonathan Riley-Smith, Scott's portrayal of Saladin was that of a "modern 19th-century liberal European gentlemen, beside whom medieval Westerners would always have made a poor showing". Despite the Crusaders' slaughter when they originally conquered Jerusalem in 1099, Saladin granted amnesty and free passage to all common Catholics and even to the defeated Christian army, as long as they were able to pay the aforementioned ransom (the Greek Orthodox Christians were treated even better, because they often opposed the western Crusaders)."Notwithstanding the differences in beliefs, the Muslim Saladin was respected by Christian lords, Richard especially. Richard once praised Saladin as a great prince, saying that he was without doubt the greatest and most powerful leader in the Islamic world. Saladin in turn stated that there was not a more honorable Christian lord than Richard. After the treaty, Saladin and Richard sent each other many gifts as tokens of respect but never met face to face. In April 1191, a Frankish woman's three-month-old baby had been stolen from her camp and sold on the market. The Franks urged her to approach Saladin herself with her grievance. According to Bah' al-Dn, Saladin used his own money to buy the child back...URL: there are not nearly enough examples of such chivalry and honor stemming from that period of history, but the example set by Saladin as the "noble warrior" will always be timeless.• Other QuestionsWill Joe Biden be worse than Trump?Joe Biden has consistently held a wide polling lead over US President Donald Trump ahead of Novembers election. But, despite Trumps botched response to the Covid-19 pandemic a failure that has left the economy far weaker than it otherwise would have been he has maintained a marginal edge on the question of which candidate would be better for the US economy. Thanks to Trump, a country with just 4% of the worlds population now accounts for more than 20% of total Covid-19 deaths an utterly shameful outcome, given Americas advanced (albeit expensive) healthcare system. The presumption that Republicans are better than Democrats at economic stewardship is a longstanding myth that must be debunked. In our 1997 book, Political Cycles and the Macroeconomy, the late (and great) Alberto Alesina and I showed that Democratic administrations tend to preside over faster growth, lower unemployment and stronger stock markets than Republican presidents do.In fact, US recessions almost always occur under Republican administrations a pattern that has persisted since our book appeared. The recessions of 1970, 1980-82, 1990, 2001, 2008-09, and, now, 2020 all occurred when a Republican was in the White House (with the exception of the double-dip recession of 1980-82, which started under Jimmy Carter but continued under Ronald Reagan). Likewise, the Great Recession of 2008-09 was triggered by the 2007-08 financial crisis, which also occurred on the GOPs watch. This tendency is not random: loose regulatory policies lead to financial crises and recessions. And, compounding matters, Republicans consistently pursue reckless fiscal policies, spending as much as Democrats do, but refusing to raise taxes to make up for the resulting budget shortfalls.Owing to such mismanagement under the George W Bush presidency, President Barack Obama and Vice-president Biden inherited the worst recession since the Great Depression. In early 2009, the US unemployment rate surpassed 10%, growth was in free fall, the budget deficit had already exceeded $1.2tn, and the stock market was down almost 60%. Yet, by the end of Obamas second term in early 2017, all of those indicators had massively improved. In fact, even before the Covid-19 recession, US employment and GDP growth, as well as the stock markets performance, were better under Obama than under Trump. Just as Trump inherited millions from his father, only to squander it on business failures, so he inherited a strong economy from his predecessor, only to wreck it within a single term------How would you explain the Theory of Relativity in layman's terms? How can you explain it to a child or teenager?I would explain the Lorentz transformation simply as a method to construct new solutions of the standard wave equation if one already has such a solution. The resulting solution is a Doppler-shifted one. This works for every wave equation, for water waves as well as sound waves, with c being the relevant speed of the waves. So this is nothing but a nice math trick to find new solutions. The same trick works not only for a simple wave equations, but for some more complex variants of wave equations too. It appears that it works for all the fields we need to describe our most fundamental particles and their interactions - the standard model of particle physics. Then, one can find out what this means for clocks and rulers, constructed completely out of things which follow those special wave equations. Once such a clock at rest is a solution, the trick gives another solution, namely a moving clock. And it appears that the moving clock is time-dilated. Similarly, a ruler at rest is such a solution. The transformation gives a moving ruler, and this moving ruler is Lorentz-contracted. A device which measures absolute contemporaneity if at rest fails, for the same reason, to identify absolute contemporaneity if moving. And, similarly, a device which establishes absolute rest fails too - if moved, it would identify absolute rest differently. This is the physical part of relativity. Then, one can interpret this failure as an unfortunate consequence of our restricted possibilities, but without any fundamental relevance. For water waves or sound waves we have other, independent possibilities to measure something, not constructed out of configurations of these physical waves, for the standard model of particle physics, we have no such abilities. Our problem, but reality does not care. This would be the Lorentz ether interpretation.Or one thinks that this inability to identify absolute rest is some deep fundamental insight, that this mathematical trick named Lorentz symmetry is a deep fundamental symmetry, and everything which does not follow this Lorentz symmetry does not even exist. The positivist what cannot be observed does not exist. This would be a world without contemporaneity. Once I cannot measure what is now on Andromeda, it means, the whole history of Andromeda is somehow in the same status of existence. That means, the whole history of Andromeda exists, as a whole. That is the spacetime. If this construction makes sense, I doubt. But it is the accepted mainstream interpretation. For more details, with some formulas, see here.------How do we as conservatives overcome the ideological civil war that's tearing us apart? The first thing we do is, realize that conservatism is a philosophy, not a party.Conservatives arent being torn apart. The Republican Party is. And thats happening because the lunatics, in some sense, have taken hold of the asylum. We need to differentiate between two types of conservatives: Social and fiscal. Social conservatives are mostly evangelical Christian and fight against social changes (e.g., gay marriage, the drift of society towards more secularism, etc.). Fiscal conservatives want the government to spend less, yet still keep its core functions.Right now, its the social conservatives whove taken over, and to put it bluntly, theyre getting their asses kicked, on an electoral basis.Gay marriage is a settled issue. However you might feel about it (and I happen to support it), it just is. Most people under 40 simply dont understand why were talking about gay marriage as a controversial issue in 2016.People are increasingly, across the board, less sympathetic to religious arguments. We live in an increasingly diverse society with a great number of religious beliefs even within Christianity and without so that calling the U.S. a Christian nation has no more power, because a) a lot of people arent Christian, and b) what it means to be a Christian is a personal thing. Its also true that theres a Southern Strategy legacy that the Republican party has to overcome. A lot of the people who left the Democratic Party over the Civil Rights Act ended up in the Republican party. Of these, the ones who were successful opposed civil rights. So theres a legacy there of opposing civil rights. That doesnt go over so well with a population thats changing and becoming more diverse. So Ive listed a lot of the problems. Whats the solution?Jettison social conservatism. Theres a path forward with fiscal conservatism, because people want to know that their money isnt wasted, and is spent well. Theres no path forward with social conservatism. The conservative movement will survive this, as long as it sticks to fiscal conservatism. Either the Republican party will destroy itself and become a former shadow of itself (with a third party made up of fiscal conservatives), or once Trump gets smacked around in the election, the fiscal conservatives will regain control of the party.Theres a path forward for being conservative with how you spend money. Theres no path forward for being conservative with peoples rights.
: Which Is Good?
Before we had LEDs, there were smaller fluorescent lights, or CFLs for short. CFLs are fluorescent lights that discharge light from a blend of phosphors inside the knob, and were intended to substitute incandescent lights (a light that produces brightness because of being warmed). At the point when contrasted with a incandescent light delivering a similar amount of light, CFLs utilize one-fifth to 33% the electric power, and last eight to fifteen times longer. Like every single fluorescent light, CFLs contain poisonous mercury, which complicates their destruction. In numerous nations, governments have set up reusing plans for CFLs and glass .A light-discharging diode, or LED for short, is a light that radiates light in an extremely limit band of wavelengths. Along these lines, LED’s are significantly more vitality effective than incandescent or fluorescent lights, which discharge light in a considerably more extensive band of wavelengths. LEDs create light that renders a shading comparative (however not indistinguishable) to natural daylight, which is measured on a scale called CRI, or Color Rendering Index. CRI’s range from 0–100, 100 being indistinguishable to characteristic light. Regular LED’s are around 70–95 CRI, however it isn’t prescribed to put anything inside underneath 75 CRI. LEDs come to full luminosity without requirement for a warm-up time.So what amount more proficient are LED’s?Generally, an incandescent bulb may last around 1000 hours, while a fluorescent (CFL) globule delivering a similar measure of light (in Lumens) may last around 8,000 hours, and an corresponding LED knob may last around 25,000 hours. Due to their efficiency,, LED’s are generally more expensive, however the energy saved money on your electric bill pays off when contrasted with incandescent bulbs..When looking at a 60-Watt incandescent bulb, the cost of running that single bulb for a long time (in light of 6 hours for every day) is $360. The cost of running a 60-Watt LED comparable for a similar amount of time is just $72. So while a incandescent bulb may just be around $1.00/ bulb in contrast with $10.00/globule for the LED, consider the amount you would spare by substituting each light in your home! The 20-year investment funds on substituting a solitary candescent light with a LED light would be $288, however when you increase that by (as case) 20 lights in your house, you’re sparing $5760 over the long time . On the off chance that you have considerably more, lets say (as case) 40 lights in your house, you’re sparing $11,520 more than 20 years. That is $576 dollars a year! While these numbers are just guessing, it is clear that LED’s are the most energy proficient alternative for lights available, and the investment funds from changing out your old incandescent light can keep some additional mixture in your pocket.Refer : LED light Malaysia, LED Shop Malaysia·RELATED QUESTIONCan I use normal led lights to grow plants indoors?Well as I read your question, can you grow plants under a normal LED(I assume you mean the type put in a room to light it). To this I would say yes. In the past I’ve used incandescent and they were fine for a small set up. I’ve also in the past combined incandescent and florescent to induce flowering. Then I decided to go only to florescent shop lights as I only needed them to carry over plants thru the winter and start a few veges to transplant in the spring. This worked well.So now to the current situation. I am switching to LED shop lights. I started with a bright stick to start plants from seed. This worked fine. No I did not test to see which light is the best. I only needed to be sure they would grow sufficiently and they do. This year I have added a work shop light for some indoor plants. Plants like wax begonia and impatient that gets a pretty rose bud bloom. These have bloomed none stop.My conclusion is this. Go ahead and use LED lights. You will save money in the long run. If you use them as I am you don’t need the expensive set ups which would hit your bottom line really hard.
