Is It Hot If a Girl Drives a BMW 1 Series in a Manual?
"Old Man Dirt" is obviously old with biased opinions; he can go on to enjoy his American-made junk they refer to as vehicles. The first commenter is incorrect too. How do I know? I own a 3-series BMW. I'm a twenty-something year old and have afforded it myself by working full-time at a decent job. Not a gold digger, not older aged (according to many older people), and am unmarried. And onto your question...BMW 1-series are nice looking cars, but I prefer the 3-, 5-, 6-, or 7-series above them. In my opinion, it's hot when any girl can drive a manual since it's not typical (but is becoming more typical).• Related Questionsall 2010 modles bmw 3 or 1 series mecedes c350, g37 coupe, lexus is250 which one should i get im 16 guy?BMW 3 series - # 1 car on Car on Drivers Magazine top ten cars 18 years in a row. It also costs more than the 3 series.Good luck and drive safe------is BMW 3 series a dependable and good car?Yes its a good car, not great but overall well assembled. Performance in most BMW's tends to be on the slow side and they view there reputation more as "handlers" than as performance cars.Service and repair work is at the top of the scale (generally 1.5 up to 2X the rates for American or Japanese product) and similarly replacement parts are also very expensive.Dependability ratings are fair but certainly not outstanding and therefore you have to understand general maintenance and repairs will be much higher than average.Certainly they will last for a long while if properly maintained (but no better or worse than a Honda, Mustang, Volvo, etc etc....longevity is only a function of care, attention serving and repairing and with a BMW the older it gets the more expensive it gets to maintain).regards,------Which car out of these should i buy?Exclude the 1991 BMW 318i E30 from the list because it's old. AND exclude 2003 MAZDA RX-8 FE Series 1 because it has high mileage and it is old.Now you have the two choices : 2004 BMW 318i and 2009 MITSUBISHI LANCER CJAs I read from your question that you want to go for the BMW but!! in fact the BMW is nice car but it has high mileage. So I would say go for the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer CJ. Even though it does not has a leather seat or features like the BMW but it's NEW. It has 67512km and it has a good shape.. take in a test drive and check how the other parts work..so yea go for the 2009 MITSUBISHI LANCER CJ!------bmw with chevy 350 crate engine needs better tansmition?1st Mikey, the 200 4R is stronger than the 700R4. More racers use it for that reason, and GM used it for that reason. Look at the fast cars of the 80's and look at the transmission used. The 1989 TTA (turbo trans am) fastest third gen F body. Used the 200 4R, the buick grand nat turbo used the 200 4r, the regal T type used it as well. Now to the question, the BMW trans won't bolt up to the chevy engine. With 440 HP I would look at a th-350, th-400, 200 r4 for auto transmission, or T56, or termec TKO, munice M22 rock crusher for stick shifts. The th-350, 400 are 3 speed autos200 4r is a 4 speed over drive------infiniti G37 or bmw 1-series?BMW just sent me this link about the one series.I think the 135i is beautiful and unlike the Infiniti you are going to get free servicing for 50,000 miles. If that were my budget I'd definitely pick the 135i. It sounds like it is going to be amazing. But where I live there is no Infiniti dealership nearby, so it's not even a consideration for me, even though I am quite a fan of Nissan.I personally chose a 328i, which is fast, but no ball of fire. I can only imagine what happens when you get a smaller lighter car and put the turbo version of my engine in it. I guess we'll find out in the spring.------On a BMW 1 series, what does ES and SE stand for ?For the best answers, search on this site I'd have the Beemer. It's a less complicated car than the Audi with its turbo, and its engine is less stressed as a result. I agree with you that the Audi looks sharper for the model years you're talking about, and it's a fair bit quicker, as you'd expect with an extra 40bhp over the BMW, but you'll pay at the pumps, and for insurance and servicing too. What ultimately puts me off the Audi is its dreadful ride quality on our typical broken city streets, even worse with the sports pack option. Try one out & see what you think, but the BMW's a far more relaxing drive.------bmw 1 series coupe or bmw 3 series sedan?i would say the 3 series sedan, because although the base price is low, around 33k, the 1 series can really add up. The base price for the 1-series is about 28k, with no upgrades and options. Any options may be an increase of a few grands. Most 1 series model are around 35k, and even when its certified pre owned, the cost is about the same of a 3 series sedan, the base price of it.Go with the 3 series sedan, because its a four door car. Your passengers will appreciate it more, because its less comfortable in a coupe, and a pain, getting in and out of the car! The insurance should also be lesser than a coupe! What ever you do, make a wise choice and research it more!------What is the price difference of the 2008 3 series and the 2008 m3?If you are looking for speed, the M3 is the way to go. If you are willing to sacrifice a little speed for having extra money, a regular 3 series or 1 series would be great. Just putting the M3 exhaust on won't do anything for performance, at least nothing noticeable. And if you are buying it new, putting a body kit on it doesn't seem like the best idea. All in all, the exhaust and body kit (plus installation/paint), would run you around $5000-$7000.But if you are looking to save a little cash and still have a fast BMW, you could always buy a dinan package for a regular 3 or 1 series to add a little more power.------Is the Bmw 1 series a hybrid and is lexus coming out with a hybrid specific vehicle? The BMW 1 series is not a hybrid- it shares many of the same components with the 3 series including the engines and currently BMW has no production Hybrids but has tampered with a Hybrid X3 which may never make it to production.Lexus already has 3, thats three hybrids- RX400h, GS450h and the LS460h-s but they are not hybrid specific. However, Lexus has two entirely new models which are hybrid specific and have been designed for only a hybrid application- LF-S, LF-Xh. The LF-S is a 4 door sports hybrid, capable of more than 40 MPG and 0-60 times of less than 5 seconds according to their press material from the Tokyo Auto Show. Also from the same show, an AWD hybrid similar to the RX but far more futuristic and will attain 40 MPG.------Why don't they make bigger cars that can open the top?Do you mean convertibles?Modern cars are unibody designs. That means that the chassis of the vehicle is the frame ( as opposed to the body of the vehicle sitting on a separate frame ). Because of this, the roof is part of the structural integrity of the vehicle and loosing the roof means a lot more flexing and twisting of the chassis. On a smaller chassis, this can be countered with additional bracing but the longer the chassis, the more difficult this is to control. The other problem would be the convertible roof itself. A longer body means a longer retractable roof. This creates all sorts of problems with the space required to store the roof while it is retracted.------So how much would 2005 BMW 325x cost in 2010?The average price of a 2005 BMW 325xi with 40-60,000 is a little less than $16,000. Higher mileage 325xi can be had for as little as $12,500. This is the cost as of April 2009. For 2010, I suspect that the price might decrease by $1-3,000. However, there will be less cars with less than 60,000 miles. But there should be enough under 60,000 to choose from. So depending on how the car is optioned, you would probably be looking at $13,000 - $15,000. BMWs (especially 3 Series) hold their value fairly well. So my predictions are pretty conservative. However, don't rule out that they could be lower. Depending on economic conditions, it is very possible that prices this particular car could depreciate even more over the next year------How come bmw hasn't changed the name of the 3 series like they did with the bmw 2002?What are you reffering to?? Change the name?? The 3 series is the entry class sedan for BMW, as for changing the Trims BMW has already done that as they progress from generation to generation of the BMW 3-series. The 1999-2001 models of the 3-Series came with a standard and entry class trim Badged the 323i sedan, which was then quickly changed and prompted in 2002 when BMW eliminated the 323i badge and replaced it for the 325i sedan which lasted from the years 2002-2005. When the newley redesigned 5th generation of the 3 series debuted and entered production in 2006 it was given the 325i badge which was once again quickly prompted to a 328i sedan in 2007 and still continues as a 328i for current 2010 3 series models. The BMW 3 series was Facelifted in 2009 just as the 4th generation 3 series sedan was facelifted in 2002------What do you think of the Drivers of these Cars?1-excuse me sir but is this vehicle stolen2-cool my dad has one of those3-oh **** driveby! getdown!4-same as above5-its a mercedes6-you gay dowg7-so its a 4x4, thats a stock car?enjoy the petrol while it lasts!8-yeah i own a challenger9i wish idve bought a dodge challenger10-ok just dont go around corners11-ich haben ein business man12-does this car make you want to have sex with me? yay good!13-wow do you reckon he has loads of tatooes and is from a fast n furious movie but was one of the cool people and not a lame person14-just get a ford focus like the other boys15-pretty small dick then------Im after a 2002-04 bmw 3 series, audi a4 or mercedes c class which would you recommend?i tend to like audis partially coz it's neither a mercedes nor bmw which you see everywhere. at least here in cali. audi's tend to be less common, and i think they're just as luxurious. and i think they offer a good balance of what bmw and mercedes offer. not quite the level of sportiness as bmw but more than mercedes. not quite the pampering of mercedes, but more than bmw. my own opinion. and i just think they're better looking cars. nothing extreme like some bmw's, and nothing overly simplistic like some mercedes (although mercedes is getting more edgier in their designs). i've had an A4 before and now an S4. i may be biased but have driven the bmw and mercedes competition. both have good things to offer but i recommend the audi.
Is This Price for a Bmw 1 Series to Good to Be True?
The same site has this: 2005 BMW 120 D SPORT 1995 cc (trade) Richard Dorrian Cars 80,139 miles Manual Black Diesel Manual, 5-door Hatchback, Diesel, 80,139 miles, Black. 9,250 So, that looks like either a con or a typo.1. Which looks better ? White Mercedes A Class Or White BMW 1 Series?Cost of Purchase is important as is the cost of insurance. Next up is performance, economy and length of warranty etc. Finally its your personality and which brand and vehicle suits your personality and purpose. I have owned MBs and BMW, in my opinion BMW performs better and the diesel is more economical, where as the MB is better looking on the outside but quality and content as decreased greatly over the years that is one more reason for my switch.2. What will the price be for the base model 2008 BMW 1 Series Coupe?I was reading an article and they said it might start out at $26995 for the 128i and $31995 for the 135i3. Based on the details you provided the car is in very good condition, and if you can afford it - go ahead. The 1-Series remains one of the most impressive entry-level luxury sports cars on the road. The BMW 1-Series is an often showcased model due to its unquestionable range and ability. With just the right fit of luxury, the model encompasses an exceptional blend of comfort and sport that allows it to stand alone. Powerful when it needs to be, stylish when it needs to be, the 1-Series has invoked a wide response due to its unrivaled versatility5. How much will a BMW 1 series coupe cost upon arrival to the US?i think of the smaller length of the single million sequence is extra suitable. the three sequence coupe is a huge automobile, however the smaller length of the single million sequence is what makes me like the single million sequence extra. i in my view wish BMW might desire to drop some pounds off the automobile. in the event that they did that, the single million sequence might desire to be extra value-effective and extra relaxing to tension6. When does the BMW 1 series come out in usa?I truthfully have not heard any changes to that schedule yet. BMW is infamous for making bulletins and then letting plenty time flow via you have a tendency to have confidence it wo not in any respect ensue, and then impulsively asserting "its right here!". So flow your palms there have been no delays, and you will possibly desire to have the skill to order your a million sequence via the top of the month. merely undergo in suggestions in trouble-free terms the coupe and convertible flow on sale interior the U. S., the different 2 fashions do no longer7. Anything about the BMW 1 series??well you can get the model with inline six twin turbo. 300 hp in a relatively small car. Talk about possible e46 m3 killer Ooohh, that sounds so nice, and fast. Plus it will have something the last m3's never had lots of torque. That is the 135i. It will feature the new 335i engine. The base is a inline 6 with 230hp. And let's keep our fingers crossed for BMW to make a M18. Why has the head gasket of my 2 year old BMW 1 series failed?I gave my grandson between the Fisher value artwork stations and device kits for christmas while he became 3 a million/2 and he enjoyed it. It became all plastic, great kit and massive screws. His greatest excitement became whacking partitions with the hammer so of direction his mom was not too inspired. the novelty wore off by the time he became 5 and now he's into Wii and different video games9. Can you put BMW M3 estoril blue on the BMW 1 Series?why would you want to do that? do not be mixing BMWs around10. How much would it be to insure a bmw 1 series? would it be cheaper if i get insured as a 2nd driver?Hi fuel and MPG will not be the only issue servicing is going to be the real issue.a service on the corsa is about 200 pounds max the BMW more like 450 pounds and add to this it is an old car so it will be a money pit when it comes to spare parts. the fuel consumption might not be too bad but it is the hidden cost like servicing that really kills it for most people on a budget. Hi yes you see even evelyn agrees on the score with the badge it really is a prestige make with a prestige prices when it goes wrong and at 15 years old it will be expensive
Which BMW Series Is This Car in This Video?
Japanes vehicles are amaing of their very own precise, however the Euro base vehicles are those to conquer. Audi could be my first determination. they're triumphing virtually each race they enter, and their innovations in no way end! Wait until eventually ultimately you notice the recent "Iron guy" action picture with the Audi Spider in it. Audi's suspensions and 4WD structures are unprecedented via all people. They defy maximum actual regulations. They make vehicles with the utmost gasoline mileage (quicker diesel) around besides. The Audi will out survive virtually each thing else obtainable. in case you do not have self assurance this, only end via any Audi showroom. attempt to not drool too lots. Then purchase a effective used one and pretend! · Other Questions What do the class series of BMW 3 series mean? Hi Alex, A lot of what ry has written is correct, however there are variations with the second two numbers (and only sometimes which adds to the confusion). For example, there are earlier models of BMW which differ such as say a 316 which is actually a 1900cc (but not every 316). Another example is 323 which isn't actually 2300cc. I don't know them all off by heart, just be aware that some differ slightly from the badging. BMW seem to love doing these quirky little things. My advice if you want to be sure would be to check out data available in motor magazines for each model in question (something like What Car), and compare the engine displacement to the badged name. Hope that helped a bit more, Good Luck Pyth. ------ Is a BMW a narrow car with little leg room? Basically, the answer is no. It's neither narrow nor lacks leg room. In comparison to a Mercedes S-Class. the answer is still no. 2007 BMW 750Li dimensions in inches (L is long wheelbase version) Legroom (Front) 41.3 Legroom (Row 2) 43.4 Shoulder Room (Front) 59.3 Shoulder Room (Row 2) 58.9 2007 Mercedes S550 Legroom (Front) 41.9 Legroom (Row 2) 42.3 Shoulder Room (Front) 59.1 Shoulder Room (Row 2) 58.7 They are essentially the same, except the BMW has 1.1" more leg room in the back but 0.6" less up front. The BMW also edges out the Mercedes on (interior) width just slightly. Size aside, you'll find the BMW "drives" much better. More precise steering, better handling, better brakes, and slightly better mileage. The Mercedes will give you a 7-spd AT (vs. BMW's 6-spd) and a little more HP. ------ Is BMW going to bring the 1 series to the United States? If so when? Current rumors are late-2008. They are definitely coming though and that is about as much as a carrot as BMW is throwing at us right now. If I had to guess, I would say about 6 months after the formal introduction and sale of the new M3 model. BMW does not like to take the thunder away from its new models, but rather, pace them out so all can share the wealth of media glitz. Since the 1er will be a re-entry into the small car market for BMW, it is probably being done with the utmost care, even more so than is common at BMW. BMW can be sure of intense public and media scrutiny of their new (to U.S./Canada) compact. It is currently available in Mexico. ------ 2006-2008 BMW 3 Series vs 2007-08 Acura TL Type S? BMW is overpriced all-around: purchase, maint & repair. And their reliability is only Fair for many models. For 2011, Honda in general rated #1 in CR. BMW was down rated there for reliability. But, if you are not willing to do that, I would go for it. Most BMW Dealers don't sell too far away from Sticker Price and this seems like it may actually be worth it. Good Luck Note to Richard R.: I have to disagree about BMW's having poor resale values. The Mini Cooper (Owned By BMW), BMW 1-Series, BMW 3-Series, BMW 5-Series, and BMW 6-Series rank in the top 10 for highest resale values of all cars. PS. Just another option- Take a look at the new Audi A4. It is bigger, faster, safer, and returns a better MPG than the BMW 328. Also, it is just about equal in price. http://www.audiusa.com/audi/us/en2/new_cars/Audi_A4.html ------ I have BMW 328ix questions? it relies upon. i in my opinion like Audi extra suited and between the a5 and a4 it comes all the way down to length and engine. the a4 has a three.0 rapid and the a5 has a v8. the v8 is probable swifter yet any automobile with a rapid is rapid. the a5 is slightly greater to. thats tremendously plenty what it comes all the way down to. if i've got been you i could get the a4 because of the fact its a astonishing quickly automobile and such as you stated above its nevertheless a Audi. additionally you are able to save some money basically in case you need to get issues fixed on the automobile. have confidence me, any german made automobile you would be dishing out a lot of money if some thing needs to get fixed. ------ Is it really a big deal to buy a bmw 3 series to your daughter if you are wealthy? Going off you spelling and/or grammar from your statement, maybe you should join your daughter in college and you two can carpool! As to the BMW, skip it. You pay a lot for so little with those cars because they are the lowest wrung of that manufacturer's ladder and barely warrant the hood ornament bestowed upon it. Do yourself a favor, have her try out either a Ford Fusion or a Mazda 6. Plenty of pep, looks, gadgets, bells 'n whistles at a reasonably affordable price. Despite the fact that I sound like a complete jerk, it seems like you simply have more money than sensibility, so I doubt you will take any of my advice anyway. That's my two red cents on the subject. ------ should I get a 2008 BMW 5 series? I think the 5's are such a waste. when it comes to BMW it is all about the power. Why get a 528 when the same engine comes in a 330? it is doubtful that you are hauling people around and for all that extra weight you really don't get more of luxury? The 3's are still the best value in the BMW series. If you want more Luxury get a Benz. You don't get more luxury in a 5 than in a 3 and BMW charges far to much for every component that comes standard in most other cars. There is a lot of hype on the M3 2008 also, but I think I would rather have a M3 2006 cause the V6 is just far more efficient. I don't know much about Audi ------ Im after a 2002-04 bmw 3 series, audi a4 or mercedes c class which would you recommend? i tend to like audis partially coz it's neither a mercedes nor bmw which you see everywhere. at least here in cali. audi's tend to be less common, and i think they're just as luxurious. and i think they offer a good balance of what bmw and mercedes offer. not quite the level of sportiness as bmw but more than mercedes. not quite the pampering of mercedes, but more than bmw. my own opinion. and i just think they're better looking cars. nothing extreme like some bmw's, and nothing overly simplistic like some mercedes (although mercedes is getting more edgier in their designs). i've had an A4 before and now an S4. i may be biased but have driven the bmw and mercedes competition. both have good things to offer but i recommend the audi. ------ Why do people say BMW are expensive? ? well, they're expensive new, and 25k for 5 year old car is pretty expensive in my book, when i can buy a BRAND NEW car with many of the same features for that price. When you buy a BMW, it comes with a few years of free maintenace. The people who buy used, do you know how much oil changes are? 250 dollars. if you buy a higher end one, like the 7 series, the tires are 5x more expensive than the regular tires on any other car (they use pierelli sport tires). NEVER in my life would i want to pay 250 dollars for an oil change, or pay 25k on a new car, AND pay for premium gas. To me, its just not worth it. BTW: look up the price on BMW parts, and the labor costs, and tell me how you feel ------ all 2010 modles bmw 3 or 1 series mecedes c350, g37 coupe, lexus is250 which one should i get im 16 guy? BMW 3 series - # 1 car on Car on Drivers Magazine top ten cars 18 years in a row. No other car beats BMW's handling and precision It may not have the largest engine but the satisfaction of driving it plus the status will definitely make you popular. I do like the G37 and my friend has one, it's a great car, very fast and will be very reliable in the years to come. I wouldn't go for the BMW 1 series, it's not much cheaper than the 3 series but you're getting a better car in a 3. I don't care for Lexus at all even though it's considered to be a very dependable car. Mercedes 350 has a great styling but the interior materials and the drive didn't impress me. It also costs more than the 3 series. Good luck and drive safe ------ Why should I prefer a BMW Series 1 to a Series 3? The two cars will come with the same engines 128 and 328, and 135 and 335. However, the 1series will be a little bit faster compared to the three series because of their weight difference. The 1series will also be a bit smaller. With the 1 series, BMW is targeting the more sport type of people that want more of a sports car while the 3series is sport/luxury. If you are interested in modding, BMW has come out with a number of performance parts for the 1series already and the 3series parts are lagging behind. If you buy BMW Performance parts over aftermarket parts your factory warranty remains intact. The 1series is also around $5,000 cheaper, if you are okay with a smaller car then i suggest you get the 1series. Its cheaper, a little bit faster, and there are already parts out that keep your warranty intact. ------ Anyone out there that has bought a 2006 or 2007 BMW 3 series that has Run Flat Tires? My cousin does alignments on BMW's, Audi's and Porsche's - every time I see him, he's replacing a RFT. People want the prestige and safety of a BMW but do not want to shell out ridiculous amounts of money on replacing up to 4 tires every 25K miles. The other poster's idea of tire insurance is pretty good - that probably comes with the BMW warranty. So many components like ABS, traction control, et al depend on having the RFT's at every wheel. Also, people don't like being stranded and a RFT allows someone to drive home or to a repair shop at a low rate of speed. Frankly, if one doesn't want RFT's, find a BMW package that doesn't have them at all.
